Philosophers and Transhumanism

Transhumanism is the most revolutionary transformation in the history of mankind; if even a small amount of what leading futurists predict comes true we will need to redefine the meaning of the word ‘human.’

Below is a paper written for a contemporary philosophy class wherein I urge philosophers to seriously consider the ramifications of transhumanism. Since writing this paper, IEET (and others) have written similar pieces indicating that some philosophers are doing just that.
